After the flowers close on my hibiscus plant, should I pull them off, and if so, where?

You can pinch it off, but hibiscus are pretty much self cleaning and so the flower will fall off on its own soon enough. To deadhead a hibiscus, simply remove the faded flower from right behind the sepal (where the flower attaches to the stem).
