What do you do with the old flowers on the hibiscus plant? Do you just let them fall off or do you cut them off like you would old roses? Some off my roses have black spots on them, what is this and what do I do for them? Thank you

While you can deadhead if desired, this practice is not necessary. Your hibiscus plant will be fine left as is. The spent blooms will drop on their own.
Your rose is likely affected by a fungus called black spot. It is common on roses but can affect other plants. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/roses/black-spot-roses.htm
