Hibiscus blooms one day; closes up that evening and then bloom drops off

New plant – 3 weeks; in good shape with several blooms formed; have kept watered well; transplanted only to slightly larger container upon getting it home.

The hibiscus flower only lasts a day, although many new hybrids have been bred which now last longer, even up to three days.
