Hibiscus and Rose in Same Large Pot

I have a large hibiscus, was doing quite well. Then about 10 days ago, I planted a small tea rose in the same container. The hibiscus started showing signs of stress (wilting leaves and flowers). We had a few 100 F days but thought they were getting enough water! Rose is doing fine but hibiscus is wilting. Any ideas?

It could be that the root system of the hibiscus was damaged some on planting the rosebush, thus it got stressed out. It could also be that the hibiscus does not like having competition for water and nutrients in the same pot. I would try watering them both with some water with a product called Super Thrive and some root stimulator mixed together in the water. That helps relieve shock and stress plus provides some great nutrients for both plants. If that does not help get things back to doing well, I would move the rosebush to another pot or plant it in the ground leaving the hibiscus to its own place.
