Container Hibiscus Plants

Q.hibiscus

Anonymous added on July 20, 2015 | Answered

“Inherited” hibiscus tree in container (as the stem is a twist). It was quite neglected and had not flowered the previous year. I repotted it but it has not flowered this year either. Will it ever flower? Does it just need good feed?

It likely needs some more fertilizer, especially phosphorus which helps with blooming. Use a "bloom booster" fertilizer or add some bone meal to the soil to help add some phosphorus.
