Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe came home kind of late to winter in NM. Our hibiscus’ leaves were drooping something awful. I have now brought it in the house. Do I have to prune it back to save it or have I lost it for good?

The loss of its leaves at this time is actually fairly normal. Bringing it indoors over winter is a good idea too. However, I would hold off on the pruning until spring, though you can still give it some occasional water over the winter, increasing this and adding fertilizer once the hibiscus goes back outdoors with the return of warm temps.
