Q.bonsai ficus tree that had scale
It’s a ficus tree that had scale. I read it’s best to remove all the infected branches or throw it away.

I certainly would try treating with Neem Oil before you decide to prune or even throw out the plant.
Most likely you have invested quite a bit of time and money into your plant so it may be worth some effort.
