Q.moving a yucca plant

Zone MN | jfkerns added on May 1, 2015 | Answered

Can I cut off my yucca plant and put it from inside to outside? It’s approx 4 feet tall and 6 yrs old. The indoor location is in a southern exposure sunny window. I’m wanting to move it to a northern facing porch with minimal sun.

Yes, you can cut your yucca down to size and this article will tell you how:

Just a word of caution - be sure to acclimate your yucca to outdoor life by following the guidance in the article below - if you put your yucca in direct sun off the get-go it will be a candidate for sunburn as it will not be used to a dramatic change of light intensity.
