Q.Hi , A Company Installed Channels And A Sink Away Area In My Garden For Drainage , Unfortunately My Garden Is Mostly Clay And I Ha
ve a collection of water at the bottom of a slope. I think the water is taking too long to drain due to the clay ,and / or the sin k hole is full , if I dig to the channels layer of top stones and replace the clay with something else could this make a differenc e ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I wish I had looked into this more rather than rely on a company who’s solution was poor ! The water draines away eventually but slowly, I have been looking at options to help the situation on your site , my wife thinks AstroTurf will help , I believe they dig away some of the clay and replace with stones , this could allow the water to draine into the channels and sink away hole which is fairly large , however I live in the west coast of Scotland and rainfall is common .
