Garden being landscaped and 35yr old peony needs to be potted for 1 flowering season then put back into ground. This peony is a beautiful flowering plant, well established, never been moved from it’s present position.

It should be fine in a container for a year. Carefully dig up the plant and pot it in a container with the roots no more than 2 inches (5 cm) below the soil level. The container needs to comfortably hold the rootball without being overly large.
