Q.Help with my 30 year old ficus!

Zone Pacific Northwest | brianturnerca@icloud.com added on June 5, 2015 | Answered

I am so sad to be writing you but I forgot to water my 30 year old ficus tree that’s about 8 feet tall. It dropped all of its upper leaves; however, there are some green healthy leaves about 1 foot up from the dirt on some small offshoots. Is there a chance it will come back to life? It’s been seemingly dead for about 4 weeks now. What would you recommend?

With still some signs of green and life, this may not be a lost cause.
Follow the pruning directions in the link below, the last paragraph.
Ovoid moving the plant as much as possible. Allow it to just recover.
Congratulations for growing this plant to this age!
