Help! What would make my golden pothos leaf tip look cut off?!?

Zone 14626 | Anonymous added on November 18, 2019 | Answered

I was checking on my plant when I noticed a leaf that looks like the end of it was cut off and healed by sealing in a tiny dark edge. Do you have any idea what could have caused it? Also, if I could ask, when it says "artificial light" in its care information, is that the regular lightbulb in my room or the special grow lights? Thank you for your help. This sounds like a fungal/bacterial infection setting in. This is most often caused by overwatering. You can mix 1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide into 1 cup water the next time you water. This will help with the infection. Just make sure to let the soil dry out almost completely down to two inches or so between watering.

For the light, fluorescent or horticultural bulbs work. If you have a window that gets a good amount of light, then this may be unnecessary.
