Q.Help My Raspberry bushes

Zone New jersey | Nailpro00 added on June 16, 2015 | Answered

I planted raspberry bushes last spring. They have been doing fabulous up until a couple days ago. The leaves got eaten by some kind of a bug. And some of the stalks look like they are dying. I took a picture of it but I can’t post it here. Can anybody who knows raspberries please help me?

I suspected that the bugs eating the leaves were beetles so I hung Japanese beetle traps. At this point I have caught nothing in the traps. I thought possibly I needed to fertilize because it has been a little while since my last time, so I did. I am not seeing any difference in the bushes. Please help.

This could be Raspberry Fruitworm infestation.
If this does not fit the description, Aphids are another common issue.
