Q.How Do You Prepare Our Ground for Rolling Out Sod?

We have granite on our back lawn area and want to put down sod. Do we have to put topsoil on top of it?

Ideally, you should have at least 3 inches of soil (more if you can) for the sod to go on top of. If you do not have this, then it would be a good idea to put some soil down.
