Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in Alabama. Something is eating the bloom/bud off of my mums and leaving a stalk. Some have dead sections in them. It’s not deer. Could it be slugs, and if so, what can I do?

While they normally prefer the foliage, it is likely slugs. This article will help:
