Have My Basil and Parsley Plants Gone Bad?

I have several potted herbs that I am growing outdoors. I use Miracle Gro soil and styrofoam peanuts at the bottom of my pots. My basil plant leaves are spotted yellow and the edges of my parsley plant are yellow as well. Are the plants diseased? Should I start over using new soil?

They are probably getting too little water. They need to be watered once a day and twice a day when temps are over 85 F.
