Q.Have I Killed My Magnolias

Bought 2.magnolia 2months ago initially kept them in cool porch gradually moving them outside during the day bringing in at night. when no more frosts forecast planted them out in tube in mixture of multi purpose and Erica compost watered with scales good diluted in rain water the leaves have now begun to turn brown and curling at the edge . There has been some strong winds can you advise

There may be some transplant shock going on. They like moist soil so keep it well watered until established. Hold back on any more fertilizer till next spring. These articles should help:
