Have A Question About My Date Palm Tree.

I had my date palm tree bloom for the first time this year it’s about 14 years old now. It was exciting to watch and bloom. Some of the flowers fell off and what I think is the dates now some have started to fall off. Just want to know more about this and why. Thanks, William E Welker
