Looking for an alternative thought/idea than the usual (milky spore, the lure bags, etc)

I think that this would be possible, but you would have to do it so often that nothing would be able to grow on the land. Any of the other options, from organic to chemical, will have lasting effects that will allow the lawn to grow while reducing how often you have to treat.
