harvesting potatoes

With the news we will be having heavy rains this week, should we immediately dig all of the rest of our potatoes, or are they safe left in the ground?

This really depends on how much rain you will get. If you're in a flood prone area and they are ready for harvesting, then get what you can and store them in a cool, dark location. Otherwise, they should be ok.
