Harvesting Parsley

If I cut the parsley stems, does it keep on producing new leaves? Or how do I get it to keep producing parsley? This is the first time I have had success at growing parsley and I want to keep it growing and producing. How long will it keep if I freeze it?

Yes, it will continue to grow and produce. All you need to do is make sure that you leave some of the lower leaves intact so they can grow and keep the plant alive while it is filling out again. Parsley is a zany plant. Grab the whole thing and whack it off a bit above the ground (if you want that much parsley). Leave any of the leaves that are forming in the center on the plant untouched. In about a month, you can do the same thing again.
If allowed to go to seed, volunteers will come up all over every year, so you don’t have to collect seed and replant every two years.

Oh, and parsley freezes for about 6 months, although we’ve had success with the Italian flat-leaf staying fairly fresh for almost a year.
