Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy family owns an acre of land. At the back of our property, there’s a small creek. Twenty or thirty years ago there was a chemical spill, Mirex. My question is, how far away from the creek should I start the garden?

Being so long ago, it is really difficult to know for certain if there’s still a threat or not. Your best best would be to either plant the garden far away from the creek (about 50 ft or better) or install raised beds instead.
