Q.Hardy kiwi

Zone Vermont | Anonymous added on May 25, 2017 | Answered

My vines are ten years old, 2 females 1 male. I have had an abundance of flowers for several years, we see little baby fruit inside them. All of a sudden though all of them drop on the ground. Help!

The two major reasons for premature fruit drop is irregular watering and lack of pollination.

During the vines active growing period, and due to the fact that they have shallow roots, you may need to water 2 to 3 times a day.
Apply 3 to 4 inches of hardwood mulch to the soil surface to help with moisture retention.
Make sure that you have Kiwi that are compatible pollinators.
Grow other flowers near the vines that attract pollinators.
