Hardy cyclamen planting

How do I tell which side is up on cyclamen tubers? I received three. One is smooth on both sides. The other two have nubbins that could be the beginning of roots or stems.

The more dome-looking side goes down. If there are points, then these are actually shoots, not roots. Those should face up.
