Hardy Banana Tree

This is our second Spring that our Hardy Banana has come back. The main trunk doesn’t look good but many new shoots are strong and tall. Should we not care about the main part and concentrate on the off shoots? We have taken a few shoots off the main part and re-planted. They are doing well. Any answers would be great

This is quite common and you can concentrate on your new off shoots.
