Hairy grass

I have a lot of hair-like grass growing under my damson tree. I did have a sunflower heart bird feeder there in the summer. Could you tell me what this is please, and is it a danger to my dog?

This could potentially be a fungal growth problem. Scraping up the remains of the sunflower seeds will probably help, since the fungus may be feeding on them. It is hard to tell, but it’s possible that fungi could be dangerous to your dog if he tried to eat the remains of the sunflower seeds. Many fungi like moisture, so drying out the area could help too.
