Q.Gunnera

Zone Devon. south west England | Anonymous added on August 31, 2018 | Answered

Our Gunnera has got so large, I have just removed about 50 Hugh Seed pods and cut down some of the leaves but need to make the plant smaller as it’s taking over the pond. What should I cut through the runners with? They are about a foot thick…….

Sounds like a chainsaw is your best option for a foot thick! Otherwise, it would have to be a handsaw. Here is a link that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/gunnera/growing-gunnera-plants.htm
