Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI either have grubs or Japanese beetles. They (along with pests that are digging up my grass looking for them) are ruining my beautiful yard!! I have found some of these and they look like beetles (have a hard outer shell). What can I do to get rid of them? I have brown spots all over my yard. Please advise.

Grubs are actually the larvae of Japanese beetles. Here is an article or two that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/lawn-grubs-how-to-get-rid-of-grub-worms.htm [1]

I sprinkled a biological powder control that can be found at most garden supply stores. I have only a fraction of the beetles and no more ruts in that part of my yard.
