Q.Grub Worms

Can grub worms be dark green? We have no grass in our yard but used to. It has been dirt for two years now. Recently we have noticed an infestation of green worms that I thought might be grubs, but all the pictures I find show them as white or yellow. I need to find a treatment that is suited towards animals since our dogs have been eating them!

Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) will interrupt a worms GI tract, killing them. It should be harmless to mammals. The following link has more information:
