Growth of Figs

This is the first year my figs were unedible. They all turned green and did not ripen to their normal purple color. The tree had plenty of fruit, but they are all green.

Fig trees that are under stress will stop ripening their fruit. Common stressors for figs are lack of water and high heat. Pests and lack of nutrients will do it as well. If you can find out what is stressing the tree and correct it, it will ripen its fruit.
