Q.Growing Wisteria In Pots
To help us control our wisteria plants—we have 3 that we are growing on a large wall trelliis placed on our garage. Will this reduce the plants growth, hardiness and need for regular periodic fertilizer to help it thrive? The plants are 3 years old and only one produces two to three blooms a year. Just want to know if our decision was the best which will continue to support growth and more blooms each year?

The Chinese wisteria can take 5 years or more till its mature enough to bloom, whether or not it is in a container. The native variety blooms within a couple of years.
