Growing Sweet Cherry Trees

Question

How can I grow sweet cherries from seed? How long does it take to germinate cherry seed, and what kind of planting method and material can I use? I live in southwest Missouri. There is a lot of water in the ground here. There are lots of high places which bottom out in waterfills. What do I need to do to grow my cherries?
