Growing soft blueberries

How to grow soft blueberries. My blueberries are really hard to the touch. I water my blueberry shrub when needed, add the appropriate amount of plant food for blueberries as the direction says, use 50 percent potting mix and 50 percent peat moss. I had my blueberry shrub for about 2 to 3 years now and this year is the first time my shrub has grew any berries and they are hard. What do I need to do to make my blueberries softer?

This can depend on many factors. The first is what cultivar that you are growing. Some just naturally produce hard, acidic berries. The next solution will be that they need more sulfur. This can be in the form of iron sulfate, or wettable sulfur. Blueberry fertilizer usually consist of ammonium sulfate, which will give some, but few cultivars will require more than that.
