Growing pineapples Article?

Hi i was reading an Article on the website about pineapple plants link posted below.it says that if using Chicken Manure Fertilizer with the plants i wanted to know would it be okay to use just Chicken Manure pellets on the plants by itself will it make the plants look great with out having to add other fertilizer with the chicken Manure

Chicken manure pellets are great to use, but follow the package directions for application.

Using 1 type of natural fertilizer is just fine.
