Growing Mexican Tarragon In A Pot

Question

I bought a Mexican Tarragon plant and transplanted it into a larger pot. It has 2 long branches which drape over the side of the pot. Should these branches be support, perhaps tied to a stake? Thank you.

I suggest cutting them back a bit so they don't hang over.
