Q.Growing Lilacs

Anonymous added on June 11, 2011 | Answered

My very favorite flower is the lilac bush or tree. I’m from New York where they are plentiful but I’ve recently moved to Phoenix, Arizona and can find no plants to purchase. I know the very warm weather here is probably the reason. Can I plant a bush inside if I can provide lots of light. What other tips can you give me for planting inside or out for this plant in Zone 3?

Lilacs need cold winter temperatures to set flower buds. You might get one to grow, but it will never bloom.
