Growing hedge in containers

Hi
For privacy reasons I want to screen a roof garden that has a glass boundary from my neighbours and I would like to plant a Red Robin hedge in troughs. Ideally, I would like the hedge to grow to approx. 6ft high. Does Red Robin hedge grow well containers? If it is what size container should I use, and how far should it be from the glass wall? I would appreciate any advice that you can offer.

If you are referring to the Holly that is named Robin Red, then it can be grown in container. You will need at least ten to fifteen gallons of soil per plant, so containers of that size will be appropriate. As long as you do not let them dry out completely, then they will do fine in this application. They can be as close to the glass as you need… This will not hurt them.
