I live in the PNW, northern Oregon and planted my sarlic before our first frost. However it has been unseasonably warm here 60 degrees , my garlic has sprouted up abput 5 inches. When do I need to fertizie high nitrogen to my plants, withhout it being too early for plant developtment? Thank You

Here is a good website for you to bookmark. It is your local extension service and they are the best folks to ask about local weather effects on crops. This is the page on growing garlic: http://extension.oregonstate.edu/gardening/2015/08/get-your-garlic-primer-planting-growing-and-harvesting
