Q.Growing From Seed In Pots
I have attempted to grow from seed in tubs beetroot,radishes and carrots without any success , three seasons now . Can you please tell me where I may be going wrong , I use a good quality compost.Thank you a

That compost could be the issue! Make sure it isn't too fertile. This will immediately burn any seedlings that emerge. After this, check pH to make sure that your soil is within ideal parameters. If both tests come out within range, then check for too much moisture. This Will cause the seeds and seedlings to rot before emerging, and during early growth. The soil needs to be allowed to dry out at the top to allow air to the seedlings. This only needs to be a slight dry out on top until they start to grow. If none of this works, then the soil could be diseased. Starting over with fresh soil and treating the area with fungicides would be the proper action in this case.
