Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI work for a large hotel company. We would like to grow our flowers for our room service carts on site. Increasing sustainability and decreasing cost. Basically, I have two large 6’x 4′ foot windows on two separate floors. I would like to find a way to utilize this space. We are in an alpine setting and the windows are north facing. Supplemental light most likely will be available or can be placed over them. We were thinking a couple of shelves that would provide for some natural light and artificial. The rooms are both quite warm being in a service area nearly 78 degrees year round. We would also like to do this year round inside to keep the amount of bugs down. My questions are: What types of flowers would be suitable for such conditions? What type of flowers bloom continuously? What type of soil should be used?
