Growing Elephant Ear plants.

Question

We have planted these plants for 3 years now and they never sprout up thru the ground. We followed the directions exactly. They are planted in good soil, partial shade and partial direct sun. We planted them each time in late April. We love them and have really been disappointed with them never showing. What are we doing wrong? We purchase one at Wal-mart and two at Sam’s club.

It could just be the bulbs, try purchasing some from a garden center or online bulb nursery next time. Or there may be a problelm with your soil. I've grown elephant ear successfully in large pots filled with potting mix.
