growing cucumbers on a fence

Question

I have made 4 x 4 boxes and I would like to plant cucumbers on a fence. Can I make more than one fence in the box. If so, how many can I make? Another possibility would be to build one fence per box and plant other vegetable in each box.

Cucumbers will grow great on a fence, I do this every year in my garden. It makes it easy to keep clean and easy to see for picking. You could also use tomato cages.
