Q.Growing Cherry Tree in Container

Anonymous added on October 21, 2011 | Answered

I just purchased a very small Prunus subhirtella ‘Pendula’. Can I grow it in a container instead of planting it in the ground?

Although most people prefer to grow dwarf trees in containers, you can still grow this variety in a pot. However, it will limit its overall size. Here is an article that you may find helpful (applies to a variety of fruit trees): https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/fegen/dwarf-fruit-trees-a-planting-guide-for-fruit-trees-in-containers.htm
