Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI was wondering what type of bean it is that you are supposed to plant so that the part – I think it is called the eye – is facing the sun. It’s the part that the actual plant comes out of I believe, though I am not a gardener. Is this a general rule for all beans and/or seeds, or is it a certain type? Or am I completely confused and this doesn’t even exist?

It does not matter, really, but eyes facing up (or to the sun) will make it easier for them to grow and applies to all types with eyes, including tuberous plants.
