Q.Growing a gardenia bush

Zone 78383 | Anonymous added on April 25, 2019 | Answered

I planted my gardenia on the ground in caliche and all its unopened blooms dried up. It’s leaves are turning brown. I just poured a gallon of water with one tablespoon of Epsom salt on the soli around it. The plant stems are still green. How can I bring it back to health. I live by a lake in South Texas so the weather is cool with a nice afternoon sun.

Gardenia plants can be finicky!
New plants will need lots of attention, especially during the first 3 months of planting.
