Growing a camellia from a seedpod

After the plants start to grow from the seeds, do you pinch them back to make them bush out instead of just one tall stalk? If so, when do you do this, and how?

Yes, you can pinch back the growing tip to encourage them to branch out, though this is optional. You can do this once it has about 5 leaves. Using your clean fingers or a small pair of scissors, remove the top section of the stem down to just above the next node (the place where a leaf emerges), but don’t damage the small bud at the node. The remaining buds will be encouraged to grow and produce side branches.
