Q.Grow Lights For Dumb Cane?

Anonymous added on June 15, 2021 | Answered

I recently bought a Dumb Cane plant and its leaves have been turning yellow. I’ve been scouring all the websites and youtube and trying to do what people tell me. I have been checking the soil every day, and I don’t water it until after the top two inches are dry. Heck, I bought a water meter, it’s just not here yet. I am misting the leaves and wiping them down to make sure it doesn’t get pests. One site said it might need more light so I was going to try a grow light. The lamp says it is full spectrum and has 3 lights that are adjustable. It also dims. My question(s). 1. Should I even use this? 2. What setting should I put it on? 20% 50% 100% or some where in between? 3. How far away from my plant should I put it? 4. How long should I leave it on for?

That will be unnecessary. They like ambient light, that it not direct. Too much light will cause yellowing, as will overwatering and underfeeding. They are heavy feeders.

Here is an article that will help you to care for them:
