Ground Cover/Patio Edging

I live in deep south Texas, and my patio does not get any direct sunlight. The area gets water three times weekly from the sprinkler system, and also receives run off water when hanging baskets and other pot plants receive water. Therefore, it stays fairly wet. The grass does not grow next to the patio and I want to plant some sort of ground cover, was thinking about monkey grass. Is there something else that would be better?

Monkey grass needs a good bit of light, so if it is a somewhat shady area, it might not do well. Any of the plants in this article would work well: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/shade/ground-covers-for-shade.htm [1]
