Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a very windy area where I just can’t seem to grow any ground cover. I’ve tried periwinkles and ornamental grass (both long and short types) with no success. I have 3 birch trees which have survived, so it seems to me that only on ground level nothing survives. Please help. I’ve even been feeding tomato feed to boost nutrient supply.

Here is an article that I think will help you that outlines plants that will do well in both shade and wind, especially for those living on a coast, as I imagine you are. If any of the plants pique your interest, just make sure they are for your plant hardiness zone which, for dublin, is zone 9a.
