Q.Greenhouse

Anonymous added on March 11, 2014 | Answered

I have an opportunity to acquire an 8×8 square steel building. It has windows all the way around the sides, from floor to ceiling. The floor and roof are steel. It has a sliding door and 2 windows that open. It was originally a shelter at a bus stop. Will it work as a starter greenhouse? I am concerned that the steel roof and straight sides will be a problem.

As long as it will retain heat well and get plenty of sunlight, this should not be a big problem. Just make sure to adequately ventilate it so that it doesn't get to hot or moist inside, which could ultimately burn plants or lead to fungal issues.
